We are pleased to announce that a social campaign on “ASEAN Declaration on Strengthening Education for Out-of-School Children and Youth” will be hosted by UNESCO Bangkok. UNESCO Bangkok is currently looking for private sector representatives who are interested in sponsoring our campaign. More than 3.2 million children in ASEAN are out-of-school due to poverty, disability, regional disparity, ethnic discrimination, and many other factors. Since last year, UNESCO Bangkok has worked together with the Thai government and the ASEAN Secretariat to prepare a draft “ASEAN Declaration on Strengthening Education for Out-of-School Children and Youth” in order to support ASEAN countries in creating momentum in providing an inclusive and equitable quality education for out-of-school children. ...
